Batavo World

"Batavo World"
Still from a shot

Another fun spot I've worked on. Nice visuals and a very challenging deadline, as always.
The main goal of this campaign was to build an entire world made out of batavo milk packs.

Every character, animal or vehicle you see on the film is CG. The environment was built by the artist Nani Brisque, with real miniatures of houses, buildings, trees, hills, roads, and so on.

I was responsible for lighting and render on almost every shot, tracking and animation on some shots. Everything worked just fine, except for the tracking part. The planar references (sidewalks and streets mainly) were not so "planar", and I had a hard time to solve them correclty.

Other than that I didn't like the final yellowish grading pass, but maybe that's personal taste, the director had the final word on the subject.
